Past repairs
Before and after
Photos from consoles and controllers that came through the shop, taken while we worked on them.
Torn HDMI port traces
The old HDMI port had taken some traces on the board with it. We rebuilt them under the microscope before soldering on the new port.
Patchy liquid metal
The liquid metal on the processor had pulled away into patches. Cleaned up during a deep cleaning.
Liquid metal with dry spots
Dry spots like these are a common cause of a PS5 running hot. Cleaned up during a deep cleaning.
Dried-out liquid metal
Most of the chip had dried out. Cleaned up during a deep cleaning.
Dust-clogged vent
Dust like this blocks the air the fan pushes through the console. Cleaned out during a deep cleaning.
